Grounded Audio is based in Manchester, UK and ran by Madeleine Jones.

Madeleine began her audio career in 2022 as a trainee Sound Floor Operator at Dock10. She then freelanced in this role from August 2023. View some of her credits here.

In November 2024, she decided to pursue post-production audio. She completed the six-month Audio Post Essentials course at the esteemed 344 Audio in Tameside, Greater Manchester.

She holds a degree in (BA) Politics, Philosophy & Economics from the University of Manchester, graduating in 2017. After working a few desk jobs, she realised office life wasn’t for her and pursued her interest in music technology. In 2021, she completed an Audio Engineering course with distinction at the School of Electronic Music in Salford.

With a passion for storytelling through sound and a desire to spend all day on Pro Tools, post-production audio has become Madeleine’s calling. She also enjoys mixing music, creating soundscapes and field recording.
